Mechanical Assembler required as soon as possible.
This position is temporary with full time hours and located in Pickering, Ontario.
Experience in an industrial setting an asset.
Candidate must be able to speak English, read English and write English fluently.
Assembly, installation and inspection are some of the more basic duties required.
(Assemble, fit and install prefabricated parts to form subassemblies or finished products, position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly, connect cables, tubes and wires, fasten parts together using fastening and joining equipment)
Different positions available. Packaging, assembling & more. Must be able to use air tools. Forklift exp. preferred. Must be able to use tape measures and read metric measurements.
SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform bonding, masking, component prep and various mechanical assembly operations.
- Operate various automated assembly and test machines.
- Perform quality system maintenance tasks including status updates and traceability inputs.
- Participate in continuous improvement by providing input on product and process problems.
CANDIDATE MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Computer literate in a Windows environment.
- Mechanical aptitude for small-scale precision work.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous assembly experience in a high volume production environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of workplace Health and Safety requirements.
