Federal Government Finance Personnel
Language Requirements: Bilingual

Advantage Personnel is presently recruiting for Finance Personnel with experience working in a Finance department within the Canadian Federal Government.
· The candidate must have a valid SECRET Security clearance
· The candidate must be recognized within Canada as a Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified General Accountant (CGA).
Project Tasks
· Improving the overall budget management and reporting process
· Reviewing the current reports initiated by departmental finance
· Determining the needs of the Chief Audit Executive in order to be able to appropriately manage the budget
· Creating an Excel spreadsheet that meets the needs of the department
· Ensuring that appropriate linkages are created between sets of information and that formulas are accurate so that changes in one cell are reflected in others, where appropriate
· Creating the first report using the new system and testing to verify its accuracy
· Developing a training guide so that the system can be properly maintained.
· Providing training to management and administrative staff
· Providing general advice to management on options for budget management and reporting purposes.
Candidate Qualifications
The individual we are seeking must be a Chartered Accountant, Certified Management Accountant or Certified General Accountant recognized within Canada. Additionally, to meet the objectives the successful candidate will have:
· extensive experience (5 years or more) in developing and retaining budget management and reporting systems within the federal public service
· experience (2 years or more) working with the Integrated Management System (IMS) at several federal government departments
· significant knowledge of management needs related to budget management within the federal government context
· expert skills in working with Microsoft Excel;
· experience in developing training material for managers/staff
· experience in delivering training on budget management and reporting.
This is part-time requirement starting immediately. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a project plan, within the first week, for approval. This approved document will form the basis for scheduled days/hours.
